3d Printed Wire Clamp For Dipoles

Advertisements

In my last post, I began installing New Antenna Insulators on my Dipole antennas. While installing them, I decided to make clamps for the wire at the ends of the dipole. Usually I just tape them and replace it when it stops sticking good, but clamps may be less maintenance. This will also make it easier while re-tuning the antennas.

The clamp compress’s the wire and holds it in place. The clamps will work on wire up to 12 awg. Typically, 14 awg. is the largest size wire I use, but options are always good.

Blind nuts are installed on one side of the clamp. M3 screws are used to compress the clap. All hardware is stainless steal.

The clamp holds the excess wire from the dipole very well. They have been installed on a dipole for extended testing. If they continue to preform well, a black version will be printed for each dipole.
